Top reasons why Quebec should stay in Canada

Quebec should vote no because that is where they would have most strength. The love for their distinctness will always be greatest within Canada, than isolated by thenselves, within the American grasp.
I do not feel that Quebec has the right to unilaterally break up Canada. A question of this nature is bigger than any one province and should be voted on by everyone affected by the outcome. If the breakup of my country is at stake I must be allowed to vote!
While I can understand why Quebec feels it's contribution to the building of our nation is unacknowledged and unappreciated by the rest of Canada, the facts show a remarkable change in attitude in the last 15 or so years. As coutntries go our's is still very young. Quebec should stay the course and continue to work in developing what is acknowledged by the rest of the society as "the best country in the world. A country where they are wanted and appreciated.
They are an integeral part of this nation! Canada stands to lose, but Quebec stands to be lost. Civil war is a possibility and Quebec would be the big loser - imagine wanting to leave the best country on the planet. There would be a tremendous price for such stupidity especially for Quebec.
I live in Quebec by choice, not by accident of birth. I speak the language and love it. I love the inherent enthusiasm and creativity that is characteristic of Quebec and its people. What a tragic loss to Canada separation would be! We can, and must, reshape our confederation to eliminate duplication and waste, promote efficienct delivery of programs, and to recognize and appreciate the cultural diversity that makes us unique. We have two founding peoples and it makes us distinct and rich.
The French Culture makes Canada unique and the fact that we have co-existed without a real culture clash is also unique. This in spite of what the Politicians of the country have tried to do. I see the seperatist movement as one of power, of untruths, of visions of "I will be King". The people of Quebec are free spirited and will vote as their hearts dictate. I would like them to know my heart is with them to stay as Canadians and to-gether we can try to make this a stronger Country instead of tearing it apart.
I am a passionate Federalist, and a young Canadian of 28 years. My family and I have lived throughout the country, and thus have a real feeling for the country. I myself have very fond memories of living in Quebec. From my French Immersion schooling, to sugaring-off outings in the countryside. I can only think of Canada including Quebec, it is a very important part of our heritage and economy, and would very much hate to see the province leave.
Tourists that visit Quebec have always said that it is like a different country. This is true not because Quebec is, but because Canada's constitution allows them a free culture. They don't know how good they have it. Vote yes and they'll realize their mistake. It's not many countries that the people openly accept a part of it as different and embrace their language.
Lucien Bouchard's messianic speeches are eerily reminiscent of Adoph Hitler's messages to the German people in the 1930s. When the television images show his raised fist and distorted face with a crowd roaring its approval, all that is missing are the ancient Roman salutes and the jack booted storm troopers. No wonder the Jewish residents of Quebec are nervous.
Quebec should remain as part of Canada because we love her and her people, in spite of our differences. We are brothers and sisters. To quote an old saying that is as true today as it was long ago: "United we stand, Divided we fall."
Or as Ghandi said, "It is very easy to snap one stick, but very difficult to snap a bundle."
